Which plastic types can be cut with the Rayjet?

The Rayjet is suitable for laser cutting plastics with a thickness of up to 10 mm. Acrylic and plastic laminates are the most commonly used materials for plastics marking. Here is a list of plastic types that you can cut or engrave with the Rayjet.

Plastics unsuitable for laser processing

​Some plastics generate gases toxic to humans during laser processing. The following plastic types are therefore not suitable for laser engraving or cutting: PVC, Vinyl, poly dibromostyrene, PTFE (Teflon). To process these plastics we recommend mechanical engraving machines or cutting plotters.

​The great advantage of a Rayjet are the crystal clear cutting edges, which are achieved during laser cutting of plastic. The edges are sealed cleanly, free of smoke residues and flame polished. ​The Rayjet works in a similar way to an office printer. Send your image file directly from your usual graphics program to the laser.
