How does a laser work?
Head Text
How to laser engrave - the basics. During laser engraving, the surface of the workpiece is melted and vaporized by the heat generated by the laser beam. This is known as "material removal". The recess formed on the surface of the workpiece in this way becomes the engraving.
Advantage 1: Suitable for many materials
Sub Text 1
Laser engraving is an incredibly versatile processing method. The effect of the heat can be used to process a variety of different materials. Wood, paper, cardboard, textiles, plastics, and many other materials can be engraved or cut with a laser device.

Laser engraving software
Sub Text 3
The visual material to be engraved is usually sent via engraving software directly from the graphics program to the laser engraver. The result is comfortable data handling, which allows quick changes to the image. In addition, the laser software's positioning function (keyword "nesting") helps to reduce material waste. Check out our laser software page for more details.

Sub Text 5
Laser engraving is one of the most accurate processing methods in the engraving business. Thanks to a resolution of up to 1,000 ppi (= 39 pixels per mm) detailed graphics can be engraved accurately on even the smallest material surfaces.
Advantage 4: Minimal maintenance required
